AUTHOR’S PREFACE TO SECOND EDITION

THE First Edition of our Exposition of the Gospel of St. John having now been fully exhausted in a comparatively short period of time, we are encouraged to proceed to the publication of a Second, to which we have made no addition, the First having been stereotyped, when passing through Press.

The labour and cost of reprinting have thus become comparatively night. We are, therefore, enabled to bring out this Second or New Edition at a greatly reduced price, which, it is expected, will help to advance its circulation.

May we hope, this New Edition of the Exposition of the Gospel of St. John will meet with the same amount of public favour that has been so generously accorded to its predecessor; and for which we tender our humble and grateful thanks.
