My Life In Prayer

Complete Prayer Book
PRAYER OF A SOUL IN DESOLATION.

PRAYER OF A SOUL IN DESOLATION.

"My Father, if it be possible, let this chalice pass from Me; nevertheless not as I will, but as Thou wilt."
(Matt, xxvi, 39)

I love Thee, though I seem
An enemy in Thy sight;
Repel me as Thou wilt,
I will ever follow Thee.
"What have I in Heaven, and besides Thee what do I desire upon earth? Thou art the God of my heart, and the God that is my portion forever." (Ps. ixxii.25.26)

My God, my God, all mine Thou art;
Myself I give Thee, all my heart;
For Thee, and Thee alone, I sigh.
